Under the direction of the medical director, provides medical care and education to patients and families in a variety of settings, for both palliative care and hospice patients. Also assists with Medicare required patient reassessments for continued hospice services and participates in quality improvement activities.

Hospice personnel are expected to participate in appropriate continuing education as may be requested and/or required by their immediate supervisor. In addition, Hospice personnel are expected to accept personal responsibility for other educational activities to enhance job-related skills and abilities.
