Why Keystone for Palliative Care?
Keystone Medical Services is a sister organization of Hospice of Holland, the leading provider of hospice care in the lakeshore area. In 2016, the Board of Directors recognized the need to provide a community-based stand-alone support service for palliative care, and formed Keystone Medical Services. As a non-profit organization, Keystone Medical Services operates transparently, focusing on patient-centered care, without the underlying pressure on returning a profit. Like Hospice of Holland, Keystone Medical Services provides certain services which are not covered by traditional reimbursement, such as insurance, and often relies on contributions from the community.
Of particular importance is the fact that Keystone Medical Services is staffed by physicians who are board-certified in palliative medicine. The palliative team is uniquely qualified to offer a holistic approach to supporting patients whose healthcare and lifestyle needs are serious, yet not terminal.

Tod Wyn, MD is the Medical Director at Hospice of Holland and is board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and Emergency Medicine.
Alice Emery, MD was welcomed to the Hospice of Holland team in 2015. She is an Associate Medical Director at HOH and is board certified in Hospice.
